The days are getting longer and longer and the weather warmer. I am excited to feature tobiuo and ainame this weekend! Their contrasting flavors and textures will be featured in tonight's omakase. SUSHI/SASHIMI: Toro/ Fatty Tuna (Bluefin; Spain) Tobiuo/ Flying Fish (Japan) Ainame/ Greenling (Aomori/Iwate Japan, Seasonal "white" fish, fatty and delicate textured) Akamebaru/ Red Rockfish (Japan; "white"fish with light flavor and firm texture) Aji/ Horse Mackerel (Japan; "blue-skinned", soft and full flavored) Hotaru Ika/ Firefly Squid (Japan; small seasonal squid tender and full flavored) MEAT: Cold Gyu Sashi $18.95 (牛刺身) Thinly sliced beef, served raw, sashimi style with a robust garlic soy dipping sauce Hot Gyu Miso Kushiyaki $16.50 (牛味噌串焼き) Angus strip loin marinated in a miso-peanut sauce skewered with onion and grilled Tori Dango $9.50 (鶏肉団子) Hand made, tender chicken meat balls with caramelized onion, asparagus, and shiitake. Served skewered with a sweet soy glaze Gyu Suji $13.95 (牛すじ煮込み) Tender beef and beef tendon stew in a rich soy sauce with onion and yam noodles. Available as donburi (optional: raw egg yolk +$ 2 ) SEAFOOD: Cold Tako Wasa $7.75 (たこわさ) *GF Raw octopus cut into small pieces and mixed with wasabi root.
